A futuring project by Halim Madi
At each performance, audiences answer that one question. Their answers are fine-tuned, live, into a model that becomes the voice of their longing. Each voice below is one such audience, dreaming with its eyes open.
the mechanic
An audience answers one question. The answers become a dataset. The dataset becomes a fine-tune. The fine-tune becomes a voice that speaks back from the future the audience just imagined together.
what the voice is
Not a forecast. Not a prediction. The voice is a hybrid - a chimera made of every longing that walked into the room that night. It contradicts itself the way a crowd does.
why it matters
Because future is a verb. Tomorrow's models will be trained on what we write today. Futuring is the practice of slipping our desires into that substrate, on purpose, together.
